Hot pot is less of a dish than it is an experience, encapsulating the communal dining ethos that so many Western restaurants have only recently taken on. Think of it as an adaptation of the stone soup fairy tale: you team up with a group of friends to cook an array of ingredients—thinly sliced meats, mushrooms, head-on shrimp, Chinese lettuces, fresh noodles, and more—in a single pot of simmering, seasoned broth heated on an induction burner or electric range. Once cooked to your liking, you dip it in the sauce of choice and eat it. Rinse and repeat until extremely full.

Korean barbecue is a popular social and dining experience, which combines traditions, etiquette and food. So what exactly is Korean BBQ? For one thing, it’s not just a meal but an entire experience. With Korean BBQ, the cooking is just as big a part of the meal as the eating is.
Enjoy the experience on it’s own, or with our Hot Pot experience, as the pots and grills are built into the dining tables themselves. You will select your meats, and grill them while enjoying the company of your friends and family.

Saw the signs out front, they lured me in to try out the Hot Pot. This is the first real sit down restaurant style Hot Pot I've had (had it once using Mikey Chen's hotpot kit), and it was pretty good.
Everything was fresh and yummy. I got the spicy broth, good (tolerable) level of heat and nummyness. We also got some meats to barbeque as well, the spicy pork belly was amazingly marinated and delicious.
Would like to come back some time to try the hibachi and sushi out as well, I miss hibachi now that Tokyo diner went out of business.

There hibachi ranges from good to excellent depending on the chef. Sushi is good. Restaurant is packed during peak times so don't expect fast food.
2023 edit: they recently remodeled and their quality has gone up. It was packed and everyone was clearly enjoying their food.

I've never been to Mikado until last night, we drove past and saw a sign advertising hot pot and Korean BBQ. Normally we drive to Baltimore for hot pot, so we decided to stop in and try it. It was great!
We did the salmon and hot and spicy hot pot combos, with a few additional items added on. We also had the Beef Bulgogi for the BBQ grill which was so flavorful and turned out great. We tried a sushi roll as well, which was delicious. The prices are a little high for an option that is not all you can eat, but the portions of food provided were large and we could barely finish eating it all.
The service was incredible - our drinks were always full, our server came by multiple times to make sure we had everything we needed, and he even replaced some items we accidentally dropped off the table. I really hope they keep the section for BBQ and hot pot, because now we have a great option to get it locally!

Went specifically for the hot pot. I’ve had conveyor belt hot pot before and loved it. Lots of add-in options. The tom yum broth was good and you can use the sauce bar to enhance your broth if it’s not quite flavorful enough. I used nearly all the sauces available but their house made mustard sauce is amazing! Our waiter was THE BEST too. Will definitely return next time I’m craving hot pot and so happy to finally have one in my area.
The food was very good and the amount of food was amazing. We were around the habachi area and enjoyed the chef's "show".
